It makes browsing the Internet a lot more efficient as you can see all the titles of the tabs you opened in a vertical column.

Try using this new navigation mode and see how much more fun browsing the Internet becomes.

The main reason vertical tabs is more efficient vs traditional tabs at the top = You can have 20+ tabs open and still be able to read the title of each tab when it is in vertical mode.
If you have 20+ tabs open in a horizontal style, the title of the tabs becomes ... and it makes navigating around the different tabs to be more challenging.
