Simply install the extension, reload Facebook, and THAT'S IT! It will hide all that invasive content from your news feed and only leave behind a short-n-sweet message letting you know something was hidden.

PLEASE NOTE: During installation, Chrome will inform you that this extension will have access to your data on Facebook.com but rest assured it does not track, store, or send your Facebook data in any way, shape, or form and it never will. This is simply a permissions requirement so it can hide those unwanted posts for you. Google is informing you that this extension could do those things, not that it does. (And it won't, ever, I promise!)
