Fontoscopeはhttps://www.paratype.comによって開発されたChromeの拡張機能で、その主な機能は「Paratype Font Explorer」です。

Fontoscope拡張子のファイルをcrx形式でダウンロードし、ブラウザにChrome拡張機能を手動でインストールするか、crxファイルを友達と共有して簡単にChrome拡張機能をインストールします。
拡張機能の使用方法
Creating a new website or redesigning an existing one? Try hundreds of professionally designed fonts for free before buying a license.
Navigate to a published or test webpage. Hover over text elements to identify fonts specified by the page author. Click on a text element and select a substitute font. See if the new font looks right on the page.
When ready to publish, visit Paratype Web Store to acquire font licenses.
Paratype account is required to get access to all fonts. Unregistered users can use free fonts distributed under OFL.
